5.3.2 WiFi Configuration
„Soft AP“
This menu allows to change the WiFi-name („SSID”) of the car or to assign a password to it.
By default the PIKO SmartMeasure Car works as a so called “Access Point”, which means that up to four Android devices in total can connect
with it directly. The name of the WiFi / the cars „SSID” is “PIKO-Messwagen_H0” by default. A password is not assigned.
Attention!
If a device was already connected with the PIKO SmartMeasure Car before changing any settings here, the
connection will be lost.
After changing the WiFi settings you need to enter the same settings in the device, too.
„Channel“
During every startup the PIKO SmartMeasure Car will check which WiFi channel has the best signal power and will set to this correspondingly.
Alternatively you can choose a channel manually.
„Station Mode“
The car can connect with a home network / router and other android devices at the same time, f.e. to transfer data
to the software “PIKO Analyst” (55051) and three other devices, four in total.
To do so activate “Station Mode”. Now enter the SSID and password of your router.
The login data must be known.
An automatic connection setup via pushbutton method (“WPS”) is not available.
Finally confirm your changed settings with „OK”. The changes will immediately be stored to the car.
