server
The device is reachable via the
specified address and provides IP
addresses to other devices.
IP address:
The IP address of the device.
subnet mask:
The subnet mask of the device.
gateway:
The IP address of the gateway (optional).
DNS server:
The IP address of the DNS server (optional).
mode:
Access Point
The device provides an own
WLAN network.
client
The device connects to an
existing WLAN network.
SSID:
The SSID / name of the WLAN network.
security type:
The security type / encryption of the WLAN
network.
password:
The password, which is needed for logging in to
the WLAN network.
hide SSID:
Specifies if the SSID should be hidden (only
applicable if the mode is Access Point).
channel:
The channel of the WLAN network.
(auto channel = best WLAN channel will be used)
If you are not sure about the settings of your existing WLAN network you
can scan for all available WLAN networks. Therefore you just have to
click on the button “start search”.
