Appendix B: Camera Miscillanous
This chapter discusses several aspects related to the usage and fea-
tures of the Phoenix PC-1280 USB Digital Camera. Topics includ-
ed are:
Spectrum response of the Sensor Chips
Camera mechanical dimensions
Camera mounting information
Lens requirement
Power consumptions
Operating environment
B.1 Spectrum Responses
The spectrum response of the PC-1280 Cameras is determined by
two components, the spectrum response of the Sensor Chip and the
spectrum response of the IR filter.
IR Filter
The Infrared Filter used in the PC-1280 Cameras has a stop-band
wavelength at about 700 nm. This cuts off the infrared light, so the
combined spectrum response with the sensor chip is closely fol-
lows the human vision response.
Sensor Chip
Responses
The plots given below show the sensor chip spectrum response.
These are directly from the sensor chip vendor. Figure B.1 is the
spectrum response curve for the monochrome sensor chip. Figure
B.2 is the one for the color sensor chip.
