Settings
Description
URL
Enter the URL of the Pharos EDI Server’s WSDL file. This is usually
one of:
For Uniprint 8.1 and Blueprint 4.1, the URL is
https://<server>/PharosEdi/EdiService.asmx
For Uniprint earlier than 8.0, the URL will either be
http://<server>/PharosEdi/Pedi.wsdl
(if SSL is
not in use)
https://<server>/PharosEdi/Pedi_ssl.wsdl
(if
SSL has been set up for Uniprint)
For Blueprint earlier than 3.5 R2, the URL is
https://<server>/PharosEdi/Pedi.wsdl
Where
<server>
is the name or IP address of the web server
that the PEDI is installed on.
Uniprint:
For security reasons, you should set up SSL for the EDI as
soon as possible. See the documentation supplied with the EDI for
more information on setting up SSL at the EDI server.
Blueprint:
SSL is required for all EDI-terminal communications. You
must obtain an SSL server certificate from a valid certification
authority before installing Blueprint e.g. Verisign. Pharos Systems
can supply a server certificate on request.
Timeout
Enter a timeout (in seconds) for connecting to the PEDI.
In some circumstances, Omega re-tries to connect to the PEDI if
the first connection attempt is not successful. In these cases, it
may take longer for the communication attempt to timeout than
the time configured here, as multiple connection attempts are
made.
Password
Enter the Site Password used to authenticate clients against the
PEDI.
Blueprint:
The default EDI password for Blueprint is “pharos”.
Uniprint:
This password is set when installing the EDI.
In addition to the above settings, a
Test Connectivity
button is available on the PEDI screen. This button
tests that the settings you entered are correct and returns confirmation/error messages as appropriate.
