When engine hardly starts
1. If the engine will not start despite of a
few attemps, it is likely that fuel is ex­
cessively inhaled into the carburetor.
Allow a short period of time before next
attempt.
Start the engine with the accelerator
pedal depressed fully.
CAUTION
Do not operate the ignition switch con­
tinuously for more than 10 seconds.

2. If the engine will not start yet, do not
continue to operate the ignition switch.
Check the fuel, spark plugs etc.

oce-0m, Depress the clutch pedal fully when shift­
ing. If the gear will not be shifted easily,
release and depress the clutch pedal and
try again.
The transmission is so designed that the
shift lever cannot be shifted from the 5th
gear to the reverse gear directly. To shift
from the 5th gear to the reverse gear, first
return the shift lever to neutral, and then to
the reverse gear after the vehicle has com­
pletely stopped.
CAUTION
Shift into the reverse gear after the vehi­
cle has been stopped completely; other­
wise, the transmission may be damaged.
When you drive on steep hills, downshift for
engine braking depending on road condi­
tions or vehicle speed.
WARNING
Be careful when downshifting on, slip­
pery, or wet roads. Failure to do so
could cause wheel lock or skid, and a
loss of control or an accident.
