To remove the engine ONLY, use the lifting eyes that
are shown in illustration 26 . If necessary, remove
engine components to avoid damage from the lifting
device.

The lifting eye (3) has not been designed

to lift the engine. The lifting eye is used in factory
assembly of engine components.

Lifting eyes are designed and installed for specific
engine arrangements. Alterations to the lifting eyes
and/or the engine make the lifting eyes and the lifting
fixtures obsolete. If alterations are made, ensure that

correct lifting devices are provided. Consult your
Perkins dealer or your Perkins distributor for
information regarding fixtures for correct engine
lifting.
