Use the four-way controller (

to select [Interval], [Number of
Shots] or [Start Delay].

Press the four-way controller ( 5 ), then use the four-
way controller ( 23 ) to change the settings.
To change another setting, press the four-way controller (

).

When finished, press the 3 button.
The screen shown in Step 3 reappears.
The camera returns to capture status after approximately one minute.

Press the shutter release button halfway.
The focus frame (or face recognition frame) on the display turns green
when the camera focuses on the subject at the correct distance.

Press the shutter release button fully.
After the message [Start interval shooting] appears, the display turns
off. When [Start Delay] is set to [0 min.], the display turns off after the
first image taken appears in Instant Review.
When the number of images set in [Number of Shots] is taken, the
message [Interval shooting complete] appears and the camera turns off.
• Interval shooting is not available in

(Auto Picture),
X
(Digital
Wide),
S
(Fireworks) or F (Digital Panorama) mode.
• The alarm will not ring during interval shooting.
• Refer to p.130 for instructions on interval shooting in
C
(Movie) and
V
(Underwater Movie) modes.
• The display turns off between shots (during standby). Press the power
switch during standby to display the remaining number of shots and
interval on the display.
• The message [Stop interval shooting?] appears when the power
switch and then the 3 button are pressed during standby. To
cancel interval shooting, press the 4 button.
• Settings for interval shooting can also be made in [Interval Shoot] in
the [
A
Rec. Mode] menu. Perform Steps 4 to 6 to make the settings.
