What you should pay attention to
Never open the casing of the appliance.
•
If there is any water on the decorative cover, you must dry the cover before opening
•
it. If you do not do this, there is a risk of moisture getting into the appliance.
Do not use the decorative cover as a cooking surface.
•
Use the hob only for preparing dishes. The appliance is not suitable for space
•
heating.
The appliance has been manufactured in accordance with the latest safety standards.
•
However we do advise that mentally handicapped, disabled or retarded individuals
do not use this appliance without the proper supervision of a competent person.
The same applies to children.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
•
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
•
Always use suitable cooking utensils. Damage arising from the use of unsuitable pans
•
or from boiling dry is excluded from the guarantee.
Grease and oil are flammable when overheated. Stay near the cooker when
•
preparing dishes.
Make sure that cables of electrical machines (such as a mixer) do not end up on hot
•
parts of the gas hob.
The hob gets very hot during use and also remain hot for some time after use. Do
•
not allow small children in the vicinity of the hob during and soon after cooking.
Never flambé under an extractor hood. The high flames can cause fire. Even if the
•
ventilator is switched off.
Do not use steam cleaners or high-pressure cleaners to clean the cooking hob, as
•
this may result in an electric shock.
If the connection cable becomes damaged, it should be replaced by the
•
manufacturer’s service department or by a person with equivalent qualifications, in
order to prevent dangerous situations from arising.
Ensure that there is adequate ventilation during use. Keep natural ventilation
•
openings open.
When using the hob for long periods, extra ventilation is necessary. Open a window
•
for instance or install a mechanical fan.
The burner parts are hot during and immediately after use. Do not touch them, and
•
avoid contact with non-heat-resistant materials.
Never immerse hot burner parts in cold water. The rapid cooling can damage the
•
enamel.
The distance from the pan to a knob or non-heat-resistant wall should always be
•
greater than two centimetres. In the case of smaller distances the high temperature
may cause the knobs or wall to discolour and/or distort.
Always place the pan on the pan support. Placing the pan directly on the burner
•
head can result in dangerous situations.
Aluminium trays or foil are not suitable as cooking utensils. They can become burnt
•
into the burners and pan supports.
The hob can only function effectively if the burner parts have been assembled using
•
the guide ridges.
Ensure that the pan supports lie properly against each other and flat on the glass
•
plate. Only then can the pans be positioned stably.
When you use pans on the back burners, make sure the pan does not stand on
•
or touch the profile of the glass decorative lid. Keep a distance of at least 2.5 cm
between the profile and the pan; otherwise the profile might get damaged.
The glass cover may break as a result of heat. Check that all the burners have been
•
switched off and have cooled down before you close the cover.
Prior to installation, ensure that the local distribution conditions (nature of the gas
•
and gas pressure) and the adjustment of the appliance are compatible.
This appliance is not connected to a combustion products evacuation device. It
•
shall be installed and connected in accordance with current installation regulations.
Particular attention shall be given to the relevant requirements regarding ventilation.
