Baggage Area
The baggage area is accessed by a separate door on the side of the fuselage and is separated
from both the cabin and the tail cone. Max. weight in baggage compartment is 20kg
7.10 Seats, Seat Belt and Shoulder Harness
7.10.1 Seats
The seating arrangement consists of two crew seats in tandem configuration for the pilot and
copilot. The seats are made in one structural carbon composite monocoque element to provide
extra strength in the cabin part of fuselage. Both seat positions are equipped with shoulder belts.
7.10.2 Seat Belts
The 4-point seat belts are attached to the cockpit monocoque. The buckle of the seat belt is located
in the center.
To use the seat belts, lengthen the link portion of the lap belt as needed by grasping the sides of
the link and pulling outward against the belt. Insert and lock the belt link into the buckle. Positive
locking has occurred when a distinctive „snap” sound is heard. Tighten belt as needed to achieve
proper fit. Then attach the shoulder straps to the buckle in the same manner. Proper installation of
the lap belt can be verified by ensuring that the lap belt is snug and low on the waist as worn
normally during flight.
7.10.3 Co-pilot seat
Optionally, removable seat with baggage space, with Tie-down hardware and canopy cover.
To
release the seat belts, grasp the top of the buckle opposite the link and pull outward.
CAUTION:
If it becomes necessary to remove seat belt or shoulder harness during flight use
care to make sure that seat belt or shoulder harness does not fall under the seat where it may
not be retrievable while seated in the airplane.
7.11 Canopy
A one-piece acrylic glass canopy provides access to the cabin as well as flight visibility. The
canopy is hinged at the right edge so it opens to the right. The canopy is locked at the left edge
with a double action lock (fwd and down).
Extra care should be taken when cleaning the glass canopy or servicing the airplane as it is prone
to scratching and denting.
