Modbus TCP/IP Network Connection
As an optional feature, Modbus TCP/IP can be used
upstream
of the Local Display. It requires an
Ethernet connection and a front-end protocol converter. The Ethernet connection is made directly to the
Local Display (Figure 22). (Connections downstream of the Display to the bus runs remain Modbus RTU
connections.)

The Ethernet cable for the upstream
Modbus TCP/IP converter is connected
directly to the Monitor bottom panel,
instead of the Display Interface Board.
