The DistanTV Server
DistanTV Streaming Server - Overview
The DistanTV Streaming Server is a part of the TVCenter application and runs
in the background. The purpose of this program is to stream live TV, in other
words, to transmit TV channels from the server computer to the client computer
in real time.
Starting/Pausing the DistanTV Streaming Server
The DistanTV Streaming Server starts automatically when the server
computer is powered up.
To stop the program choose one of the following:
1.
Go to:
Start > Programs > PCTV Systems > Tools> Stop Streaming Server.
2.
Go to:
Start>Programs>PCTV Systems>TVCenter-Settings.
From the navigation pan of the Settings-dialog select the option:
DistanTV
and then click on the entry:
Stopp DistanTV Server.
How to change the port:
During the installation of the DistanTV Streaming Server, port 8000 is set for
server-client communication by default.
If you would like to use a different port for server-client communication, you
can change the port manually. Please follow the instructions:
Go to:
Start>Programs>PCTV Systems>TVCenter-Settings
in order to open
the settings-dialog of the TVCenter application.
Choose the option:
DistanTV
.
Go to
Port
and replace the entry "
8000
" with the desired port number.
Confirm your changes by pressing
OK
.
Make sure that the port number you entered is unblocked in your firewall
and not used by another application
