(*2) Verify installation direction of the Crossover Valve.

(*3) The cold water supply line must be branched to the hot

water return line for Crossover mode. The Crossover Kit

including in this branch pipe will be stocked in the

Manufacturer. See the part number on page 5.

Crossover

Connect the connector

marked "Crossover" for

Crossover mode. Without

connecting this connector,

the error code 63 may be

displayed on the remote

controller.

[With the Crossover Valve]

•  Connect the connector marked “Crossover”. Refer to page 51 for the location of the connector.

•  The minimum setting temperature is “Fahrenheit mode : 120°F / Celsius mode : 50°C for Crossover Mode.

(CAN NOT set the hot water temperature lower than 120°F / 50°C.)

•  Compatible crossover valves are the manufacturer (Sensor Valve Kit: 1829) or Watts (Sensor Valve Kit:

596816) products only.

Model number or specification subject to change at manufacturer’s discretion. Be sure to contact the

manufacturer.

NOTE

•  Crossover valve passes cold water, therefore Water Heater will operate and recirculate

automatically even without direct hot water usage.

•  If gurgling noise occurs or the error code 63 appears on the Remote Controller, it may be

caused by air remaining in the system (e.g. Cold Water Line, Hot Water Line, Return Line or

Water Heater). Purge air from the system completely, following instructions on page 60-64.

•  For proper recirculation operation, only one crossover valve may be installed.
