The Factory Reset button on the device server (see
figure 4
) is used to restore the device server to the factory
default configuration.

The Console/Data switch (see

on page 19) enables a user to set the serial port for console or data mode.

Connecting the hardware
This section describes how to connect the device server to your equipment for initial testing.

Connecting power
1. Plug the DC power supply cable connector into the device server’s Power port (see
figure 3
on page 19).
The interconnecting cables shall be acceptable for external use
and shall be rated for the proper application with respect to volt-
age, current, anticipated temperature, flammability, and
mechanical serviceability.
