Caution: The device starts running immediately at
the set speed.
Speed adjustment (Fig. 1)
The correct speed must be set depending on the workpiece to
be processed.
Electronic speed control:
Use the electronic speed control to steplessly set the speed:
Set the speed with the help of the speed control (3).
The required speed depends on the workpiece diameter.

The workpiece diameter is indicated on the X-axis.
The Y-axis represents the speed.
Start with the diameter of the workpiece and follow it vertically
upwards. Then read out the speed at which the vertical line
meets the curve.
Important information for operation
• We recommend that you refer to the specialist literature on
wood-turning techniques.
• When choosing the wood for your turning work, pay atten-
tion to knots and contraction movements. Only use wood
that is free of cracks and knots (with small knots, pay atten-
tion to the pressure with the turning tool).
• Always check that the moulded part is held securely by
checking it by hand. Warning! Remove the mains plug!
• Only use an original turning tool that is sharp.
• When turning wooden disks, do not stand in the trajectory
of the workpiece.
• Please cut large and unbalanced moulded parts as well as pos-
sible using a band saw or jigsaw. If the moulded parts are very
unbalanced, they pose a danger to your health and the service
life of the machine.
• Always start with the lowest possible speed for new work-
pieces and increase it as the solidity of the workpiece to be
turned grows.
• Do not use wooden disks with contraction cracks, as these
represent a high danger of bursting when exposed to cen-
trifugal forces.
• Do not exceed the maximum workpiece sizes.
• For tools that are blocked: First pull out the mains plug before
starting troubleshooting.
• For your turning work, position yourself at the machine so
that you can guide the chisels effectively on the tool carrier.
• Only use cutting tools that are recommended for wood-turn-
ing work.
11. Transport
1.
Always switch off the electrical tool before transport and
disconnect it from the power supply.
2.
Always carry the electric tool with at least one other per-
son. Carry the electric tool on the machine bed (12).
3.
Protect the electrical tool from impacts, shocks and severe
vibrations, e.g. during vehicular transport.
4.
Secure the electric tool against toppling and slipping.
5.
Never use protective devices for handling or transport.
12. Cleaning and maintenance
m
Warning!
Pull out the mains plug before carrying out any adjustments,
maintenance or repair work!
General maintenance tasks
Wipe swarf and dust off the machine from time to time with a
cloth. Oil the rotating parts once monthly to extend the life of
the tool. Do not oil the motor.
Do not use corrosive agents for cleaning the plastic.
Maintenance
The device has no further internal parts that require mainte-
nance.
Service information
With this product, it is necessary to note that the following parts
are subject to natural or usage-related wear, or that the follow-
ing parts are required as consumables.
Wearing parts*: Wood-turning chisel
* may not be included in the scope of supply!
13. Storage
Store the device and its accessories in a dark, dry and frost-
free place that is inaccessible to children. The optimum storage
temperature is between 5 and 30˚C.
Store the electric tool in its original packaging.
Cover the electric tool to protect it from dust or moisture.
Store the operating manual with the electric tool.
14. Electrical connection
The electrical motor installed is connected and ready for op-
eration. The connection complies with the applicable VDE and
DIN provisions. The customer‘s mains connection as well as the
extension cable used must also comply with these regulations.
Damaged electrical connection cable
The insulation on electrical connection cables is often dam-
aged.
This may have the following causes:
• Pressure points, where connection cables are passed through
windows or doors.
• Kinks where the connection cable has been improperly fas-
tened or routed.
• Places where the connection cables have been cut due to
being driven over.
• Insulation damage due to being ripped out of the wall outlet.
• Cracks due to the insulation ageing.
Such damaged electrical connection cables must not be used
and are life-threatening due to the insulation damage.
