Troubleshooting
Faults Causes Remedies
Pump does
not start
Mains voltage is not applied
Check plug socket, cable, line and
plug, where appropriate, have re-
paired through electrical specialist
Float switch (1) does not switch
Check the position of the fl oat switch
Pumps has
no discharge
Water level too low during com-
missioning
Immerse pump deeper
Thermal protection switch has
switched off
Wait until the motor switches on again
after cooling down
Pull out the mains plug and clean the
suction foot/impeller
Filter cover ( 22) / Filter
( 23) blocked
Clean the fi lter cover/fi lter
Pump oper-
ating but not
pumping
Pressure line closed
Open the shut-off valve (16) on the dis-
tributor or other taps, nozzles, etc.
Flow rate
insuffi cient
Pump performance reduced due
to heavy dirt contamination or
abrasive water impurities
Pull out the mains plug and clean the
pump, replace consumable parts if
necessary (see “Cleaning, mainte-
nance and storage”)
Float switch (1) cannot sink
Check the position of the fl oat switch
Filter cover ( 22) / Filter
( 23) blocked
Clean the fi lter cover/fi lter
Pumping capacity reduced due
to very dirty and abrasive ad-
mixtures of water
Pull out the mains plug and clean the
pump, replace consumable parts if
necessary (see “Cleaning, mainte-
nance and storage”)
Pump switch-
es off after a
short period
Motor contactor disconnects the
pumps because of water pollu-
tion that is too severe
Pull out the mains plug and clean.
Water temperature too high, mo-
tor contactor breaks Note maximum water temperature of
35°C!
