Calibrating the Touchscreen
Calibrating the touchscreen ensures that it is aligned with your display. The
monitor’s touchscreen is calibrated before leaving Parker-CTC. However,
you may need to recalibrate the touchscreen in certain circumstances, such
as:
•
Using the XP PowerStation for the first time
•
Connecting the XP PowerStation to a new computer
•
Using a remote, stand-alone configuration, or
•
Whenever the cursor does not follow the touches on the screen.
•
After reflashing an image to a compact flash card.
Calibrating the Touchscreen on a Windows CE PowerStation with Interact
Xpress
The Interact Xpress software comes with a calibration utility located in the
Shell. To calibrate the touchscreen, complete the following steps:

From the
Xpress Shell
main page, select the
Settings
button. The
Settings page is displayed.

From the
Settings
page, select the
Calibrate Touchscreen
button. A
prompt is displayed asking if you are sure you want to calibrate the
touchscreen.

Click
OK
from the upper, right-hand corner of the dialog box to
initiate the calibration routine.
Follow the directions on the screen, using your finger to touch on the
screen as directed.
Calibrating the Touchscreen on a Windows CE PowerStation without Interact
Xpress
To calibrate the touchscreen on a Windows CE PowerStation without
Interact Xpress, complete the following steps:

Click the center of where the arrows are pointing. The Calibration
screen appears.

Touch the target where it appears on the screen, hold your finger
there momentarily, and then release.The screen guides you through
the Touch - Hold - Release process.

Repeat the process three more times in the other three corners of the
screen. A test screen appears.

Move your finger across the monitor. The target should move with
your finger. If so, the calibration was successful.
