 IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock or personal injury, the following must be read 
before using or plugging this electric fireplace into an electrical outlet. 

 

• The heater is hot when in use, do not come in contact with hot surfaces.   

 

 

 

• Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothing, and curtains at 
   least 3 feet away from fireplace.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

• Do not block the air intake or exhaust of the heater in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces 
  such as beds, where heater openings may become blocked. 

 

 

 

 

 

• Needs to be used with wood fireplace mantel   

 

 

 

 

 

 

• Use extreme caution when using fireplace near children, or where children may be present.   
•

• Do not attempt to move fireplace when hot. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

• When not in use, store fireplace unplugged in a dry location  

 

 

 

 

 

• Do not operate electric fireplace if the cord  or plug has become damaged. 

 

 

 

• Discontinue use if the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner. 

 

• Only an authorized service center should attempt to repair electric insert.  

 

 

 

• Do not use outdoors, intended for indoor use only. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

• This electric fireplace is not intended to be used in bathrooms, laundry rooms, or any other 
   location where the electric fireplace may become damp, or come in contact with water.  

 

• Never operate electric fireplace where it may fall into a bathtub, pool or any other water container. 
• Do not run power cord under carpeting, rugs, runners, or any other covering. Keep cord from   
  crossing traffic areas to avoid tripping.   

 

 

 

 

 

 

• Always turn electric insert off before unplugging heater from outlet.  

 

 

 

 

• Keep area around fireplace neat and clean.   

 

 

 

 

 

 

• To avoid electrical shock, fire, or damage to heater, do not insert any foreign objects into 
   ventilation or exhaust of heater.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

• This heater produces arcing sparks, keep all flammable liquids, such as gasoline, paint, or    
   solvents, away from heater. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

• Only use this fireplace as described in this manual. Any other use is not recommended, and may 
  cause fire, electrical shock, or personal injury. 
• Do not alter or modify this fireplace in any manner 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

• This fireplace is intended for residential use only, not intended for commercial use. 

 

 

• Position the fireplace in a location near an electrical outlet so the use of an extension cord is not 
  needed. If an extension cord must be used, it must be a minimum of 14AWG and is rated for

watts. 

       

• This fireplace must be electrically grounded in accordance with local codes. 

 

 

 

• This fireplace is to be used on a 120 V, 15 AMP grounded circuit.   

 

 

 

 

• Do not use in an outlet that is controlled by a switch or dimmer switch. 

 

 

 

 

• The cord supplied with the heater is equipped with a 3-blade plug.
   The round pin on the plug is for

 

grounding purposes. If a 3-slot 

   outlet is not available, and adapter must be used. The adapter 
   must be properly grounded to the outlet box. (see Fig. 1) 

 

 

 

 

 

 

• To avoid circuit overload, do not plug any other appliances 
   into the same circuit as the fireplace.
