Screw anchor pull-out forces
Pull-out forces state the force required for
pulling a screw out of the wall. No difference
is made between the screw plus screw an
-
chor coming out of the wall, the screw brea
-
king or the brickwork failing.
The pull-out forces state the maximum ten
-
sile force that may be exerted on the screw
and/or screw anchor.
The fixing material must be selected to
match the fitting base, type of fitting and
pull-out forces.
The values in the table are stated in kN and
express the pull-out force of the anchor
(screw / screw anchor) which is subjected to
the highest tension.
The values are calculated for an anchor in
unbroken concrete.
The selection of the most suitable fixing ma
-
terial depends on the type of fitting base and
its physical condition. The fitter is responsib
-
le for checking the fitting base prior to fitting
the awning.
The screw anchor pull-out forces are calcu
-
lated on the basis of Wind Resistance Class
1 in accordance with the EN 13561 and EN
1932 standards.
