Configuring the 10BaseT Port
To configure the 10BaseT port:
1. From the top-level menu screen, select Cnfig.
2. Select Activ.
3. Select Edit.
4. Select User.
5. Press F1 (Next) until the ENET Use configuration option appears.
6. Select the appropriate protocol for your network.
7. Press F1 (Next) until the ENET IP Adr configuration option appears.
8. Press F2 (Edit) to edit the IP address. You have the option of using F3 (Clear) to
reset the IP address to the factory default
000.000.000.000.
9. Use the
and
keys to position the cursor under the digit you want to
change. Press F1 (Up) to increment the digit or F2 (Down) to decrement the digit.
10. Press F3 (Save) to save the value. Otherwise, the original value will be retained.
11. Return to editing the User configuration options. Press F1 (Next) until the ENET
NetMask configuration option appears.
12. Press F2 (Edit) to edit the subnet mask. Press F3 (Save) to save the value.
Configuring the DTE Port
Network DS0s must be mapped to the DTE port for DSX-1 voice to a PBX. To assign
Network DS0s 1 through 12 to the DTE port for voice traffic to a PBX:
1. From the top-level menu screen, select Cnfig.
2. Select Activ.
3. Select Edit.
4. Select DTE.
5. Using Table 1 as a guide make sure that the DTE port is enabled and that the
framing and coding are appropriate for the PBX. If the DTE port will not be used,
make sure that it is disabled.
