of the
Authentication server for this domain if
you want to confirm the location of the
end user before forwarding the
message to the DHCP server.
This step
is required if RADIUS or XTACACS is
specified.

3. (Optional) If you are using the RADIUS
authentication type, you must fill in this
field. The RADIUS secret is the key
used to encrypt the RADIUS message
sent to the server. This field accepts up
to 16 characters.

– Enter N (None) if you do not want to
perform an authentication
– Enter R (RADIUS) if you want to
forward the message to a RADIUS
server to confirm the location of the
end user before sending the
message to the DHCP server.

forward the message to a XTACACS
server to confirm the location of the
end user before forwarding the
message to the DHCP server.
NOTE: Passwords configured on the
authentication servers must not be
configured with an expiration date.
Make sure the appropriate
administrators are notified.
