INSTALLATION DRAWINGS AND DIMENSIONS, SEE END PAGES OF THE MANUAL.
NOTE: The appliance must be positioned so that the plug is accessible.
INSTALLATION
BEFORE USING THE DEVICE
•
Remove all outer and inner packaging. Clean the inside surface with warm water and a soft
cloth. The unit may have residual odours at first, these will disappear as the unit cools down.
•
Before connecting the appliance to the mains, allow it to stand upright for at least 24 hours.
This will reduce the possibility of a malfunction in the cooling system caused by handling during
transport. During this time, it is recommended that you leave the door open to eliminate any
residual odours.
•
The door of this appliance can be opened from either the left or the right. The unit is delivered
with the door opening on the left side. If you wish to open the door from the right, follow the
instructions "Reverse door hinge".
•
Modify the door handle if necessary.
INSTALLATION
•
The devices are designed to be built-in, flush-mounted or free-standing.
•
WARNING:
Do not store or install the appliance outdoors. The unit is for indoor use.
•
WARNING:
Do not install the appliance in the laundry room. Avoid locating the unit in damp
areas.
•
Place the unit on a floor that is strong enough to support its weight when fully loaded. To level
the unit, adjust the front leveling foot on the bottom of the unit.
•
For free-standing installation, 100 mm of space is required between the back and sides of the
unit to allow for the air circulation necessary to cool the compressor and condenser, thus saving
energy. Even for built-in installation, it is necessary to maintain a 5 mm space on each side and
at the top to ensure proper access and ventilation. Take care that the air outlet at the front of the
unit is not covered or blocked in any way.
•
Place the unit out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources (cooker, heater, radiator,
etc.). Direct sunlight can affect the acrylic coating and its heating can increase power
consumption. Extremely cold ambient temperatures may also cause the unit to malfunction.
•
Connect the appliance to a dedicated, easily accessible outlet. Any questions regarding power
and/or grounding should be directed to a qualified electrician or an authorized service centre.
•
The appliance must be installed with all electrical, plumbing, water and drain connections in
accordance with state and local codes.
IMPORTANT: HIGH HUMIDITY CLIMATE
During periods of high humidity, some condensation may appear on the outer surfaces of the glass door.
This condensation will disappear when the humidity levels drop. For prevention, it is advisable to install
the appliance with sufficient ventilation in a place with dry air and/or air conditioning.
