The unit must always be grounded to earth with 1.5mmsq wire size minimum.
Earth connection will have to be done using either the screw (M4) located near the power supply
terminal block. Also connect to ground the terminal 3 on the power supply terminal block.
The power supply circuit may be floating or grounded. In the latter case, connect to ground the power
source common as shown in figure (see below) with a dashed line.
When using the floating power scheme, note that the HMI devices internally connects the power
common to ground with a 1MΩ resistor in parallel with a 4,7nF capacitor.
The power supply must have double or reinforced insulation.
The suggested wiring for the power supply is shown in figure.
All the electronic devices in the control system must be properly grounded.
(Note 1)
If the power supply is incorrect, the internal electronic components may be
damaged.
(Note 2)
Ensure that the power supply has enough power capacity for the operation of
the equipment.
(Note 3)
Please use the SELV (Safety Extra-Low Voltage) and LIM (Limited Energy
Circuit) power supply.
(Note 4)
Since this product is a capacitive type, the touch switch may be unable to
respond if it is not grounded.
(Note 5)
Precautions concerning wiring
・
When removing the wire's insulation, be careful not to scratch the core wire.
・
Do not twist the wires to connect them.
・
Do not solder the wires to connect them. The solder may break due to vibration.
・
After wiring, make sure stress is not applied to the wire.
・
In the terminal block socket construction, if the wire is fastened upon counter-clockwise
rotation of the screw, the connection is faulty. Disconnect the wire, check the terminal
hole, and then re-connect the wire.
