Setting a sterilisation cycle requires an immersion heater controlled by the Panasonic unit, uses
energy and carries the risk of scalds. Discuss this with the end user.
Sterilisation is to prevent the growth of legionella.
Legionella grows at between 20C and 45C but dies above 45C
Scald time is minutes for water at 50C but seconds at 60C
To optimise protection against scalds then choose NO sterilisation cycle, set the tank temperature to 50C and
lower the Tank Reheat Temperature (* above) to minus 5C.
To optimise legionella protection then Choose a weekly sterilisation cycle. Discuss the day and time with the
customer. Choose 60C and 10 minutes. You can set the tank temperature at 45-48C with sterilisation cycle
set to on. Check the immersion heater physically and ensure the thermostat on it is set to maximum.

Service Setup
After setting up Operation Setup scroll back to the Installer Setup menu and choose Service
Setup which will give you the options of setting the Pump Maximum Speed, Pump Down Op-
eration, Dry Concrete Function and Service Contact. Use Pump Maximum Speed to measure
the water flow rate and check it is sufficient (2.9 l/min per KW), note the flow rate down and
then set your contact details in Service Contact
