Chapter 4

Settings — [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu

112 - ENGLISH

[COOLING CONDITION]

Change the fan control depending on the direction of projection.

Set [COOLING CONDITION] according to the projection direction, but set it to [AUTO] normally. Using the

projector with [COOLING CONDITION] set incorrectly may shorten the life of the lamp.

Projection direction

1) Press

to select [COOLING CONDITION].

2) Press the <ENTER> button.

The

[COOLING CONDITION]

screen is displayed.

3) Press

to select a cooling condition.

When [AUTO] is selected, the cooling conditions of [FLOOR SETTING], [CEILING SETTING], [VERTICAL

UP SETTING], and [VERTICAL DOWN SETTING] are set automatically.
You can check the setting from [COOLING CONDITION] on the

[STATUS]

screen.

4) Press the <ENTER> button.
5)

When the confirmation screen is displayed, press

to select [OK], and press the <ENTER> button.

[LAMP SELECT]

Select the lamp to be turned on from the two built-in luminous lamps according to the usage conditions or

purposes.

1) Press

to select [LAMP SELECT].

2) Press

to switch the item.

[DUAL]

Two lamps will light.

[SINGLE]

One lamp will light. (The lamps with shorter runtime will automatically light.)

[LAMP1]

Lamp 1 will light.

[LAMP2]

Lamp 2 will light.

3) Press the <ENTER> button.

Note

For a certain time after [LAMP SELECT] is switched, [LAMP SELECT] cannot be switched again, because the lamp replacement cycle will

be shortened. Repeatedly switching [LAMP SELECT] in a short time will also shorten the lamp replacement cycle.

The colors of the items indicate the status.

Green

Current setting

Yellow

Current setting (when there is a lamp that cannot turn on or failed to turn on)

Red

Lamp that has failed to turn on

White

Any other status

When [SINGLE], [LAMP1], or [LAMP2] is selected, if the lamp turns off or if the runtime exceeds 4 000 hours (when [LAMP POWER] is

set to [NORMAL]), the other lamp turns on. When [DUAL] is selected, if either lamp turns off or if the runtime of either lamp exceeds 4 000

hours (when [LAMP POWER] is set to [NORMAL]), only the other lamp remains on. However, if both lamps turn off or if runtimes of both

lamps exceed 4 000 hours (when [LAMP POWER] is set to [NORMAL]), the projector turns into standby.

Ensure that the lamp unit which is not to be turned on is also installed.

If the setting is switched to [SINGLE], [LAMP1], or [LAMP2], both lamps turns on temporarily to prevent illuminance reduction.
