What equipment can be used?
Glass tray, low or high wire racks. The oven can be used as a
normal oven, and therefore metal tins and ovenproof dishes can
be used.
Never cover with a lid, film, paper or plastic.
How is convection used?
In most cases, the oven doesn’t need to be pre-heated. Instead,
place the food in the cold oven and extend the baking/cooking
time by 10-12 minutes, if the set time is under 30 minutes.
Then let the food stand for 5 minutes in the closed oven to warm
through.
This avoids unnecessary use of the oven whilst empty and not in
use, thus saving energy.
This also avoids loss of heat when the oven door is opened as
with pre-heating.

At the top of the oven space are the grill heaters which heat up
extremely quickly. The grill, therefore, should never be pre-heat-
ed.
Food requiring a long grilling time should be placed on the lower
wire rack. The cooking times are only approximate. Check meals
while they are being prepared. The oven door must always be
kept closed.
