To release an Answer Message for a phone number
From the display in step 2, select “Answer message

” and press .
The setting is released and “
★
” is cleared.
You can set particular Answer Messages to be played back for a call from particular phone
number for when “Record message” is set to “ON”.
You can use this function for all 700 entries in the FOMA phone’s Phonebook. However, you
cannot set this function for Phonebook entries stored in “Secret mode”, “Secret only mode”, or
in the UIM.
Set Answer Message by Phone Number

The order of priority for answer message is: “Setting by phone number”
→
“Setting by group”
→
“Setting by Record
Message”
● You cannot set Answer Message during “Keypad dial lock”.
●
Note that the setting for “Answer message” of “Utilities” is only valid when the Caller ID is provided.
It is advisable to activate “Caller ID request” in advance.
●
Note that this function is released when you change the set phone number.
●
To change the set Answer Message, release the current setting and proceed.
●
Use “Utilities” to check which phone number in the Phonebook is set, or to release the setting.
