Card (Optional) Features
You can record still images to a Memory
Card.

Slide the M-CARD Lock Switch to
unlock, then set POWER to M-CARD.
• The POWER lamp lights red.
• Be sure POWER is fully turned to
M-CARD position.
• “PLAY: PUSH PLAY KEY” is
displayed for 10 seconds. (p. 49)

• Press MENU to exit this menu.

Press PHOTOSHOT
to record an
image.
• The PhotoShot image is recorded to
the Memory Card.
• When SHUTTER is set to ON (Menu
OSD: p. 104), still pictures are
recorded with a visual shutter effect
and click sound. If set to OFF, the still
image will be displayed only.

• While “PROCESSING” is displayed,
DO
NOT turn off the Palmcorder or unplug
the AC Adaptor
(supplied) because this
will cause irreversible damage to the
memory.
Before you begin
• Connect the Palmcorder to a power
source. (pp. 13, 14)
• Set POWER to OFF before inserting a
Memory Card. (p. 12)

• Memory Card will not work when DV
interface Cable (i.LINK) is connected.

• The number of images given for each
mode applies when all images are taken
in same mode.
• You can change recording modes at any
time before capturing an image.
• The number of images that can be
captured may differ depending on the
subject. After capturing an image, the
number may not decrease, or it may
decrease by two. This is normal.
Note
• 1280 x 960 PhotoShot image is
interpolated from 640 x 480 image.
• Some artifacting, softened edges or
picture noise may occur in Fine (1280 x
960) Mode.
• Progressive PhotoShot is not available
when capturing to card (only tape).
Therefore, 640 x 480 Progressive
PhotoShot to Tape may produce better
results in some circumstances, especially
when capturing moving subjects.
• PhotoShot capture time for Fine Mode
(1280 x 960) is approximately
20 seconds, and for Normal Mode (640 x
480) is approximately 7~10 seconds.
