MP3 Support Chart
Notes
≥
Encoding software and writing software are not included with this player.
≥
Sound quality during playback will differ depending on the conditions at the time of conversion. For details,
please see the user’s manual for the encoding software.
≥
Discs written with multi-session and discs containing a mixture of different data formats (such as discs in
which MP3 is mixed with Mixed Mode CD, CD-Extra or CD-DA) may not be able to be played back properly.
Also, discs written using the packet write format may not be able to be played back properly. Panasonic
recommends using “Disc At Once” for writing discs.
≥
Discs may not play properly or characters may not be displayed properly depending on the writing software
and drive used, or on the combination used. Also, if conditions for writing to the disc are poor, there may be
breaks in the sound or noise may occur.
≥
Always attach the “mp3 (MP3)” extension to MP3 files. When other extensions are used, or no extension is
used, you will not be able to playback those files.
≥
It may take time before playback starts for discs with a lot of tiers or a complex structure. Please do not
write non-MP3 files and unnecessary folders to the disc.
≥
Because the writing software may rearrange the files and folders when writing to the disc, the playback order
may not be as desired. Also, the playback order may differ even for the same disc depending on the player
used. In some cases, you may be able to specify the playback order by using 3-digit numbers “001” ~ “255”
(or 2-digit numbers) at the beginning of the file name.
≥
M3U play lists are not supported.
≥
WMA and MP3 PRO are not supported.
