• OVP – Input or Output over voltage protection
In the event of the supply system voltage rising above a pre-defined threshold,
the charger will stop the charging process, and indicate the condition via a
sequence of flashes of the red ‘fault’ LED.
The charger will recover automatically when the supply system is restored to
within operating tolerances.
• UVP – under voltage protection
In the event of the supply system voltage falling below a pre-defined threshold,
the charger will stop the charging process, and indicate the condition via a
sequence of flashes of the red ‘fault’ LED
The charger will recover automatically when the supply system is restored to
within operating tolerances.
• OCP – Over current protection
The maximum output current of the charger is user settable (Refer to section
6.2 b).
Should the output current exceed a pre-defined limit, the charger will stop the
charging process, and indicate the condition via a sequence of flashes of the
red ‘fault’ LED.
The charger will recover automatically.
• OTP – Over temperature protection
Should the internal operating temperature of the charger rise above a pre-
defined threshold, the charger will stop the charging process, and indicate the
condition via a sequence of flashes of the red ‘fault’ LED.
The charger will automatically recover when the internal temperature has
decreased to within operating tolerances.
Should the internal temperature fail to decrease, but instead continue to rise,
the charger will latch in the fault mode. In this mode, automatic recovery is not
possible.

• GMI – Ground monitor Interrupter
Should under any circumstances the supply or load connection ground wire
become disconnected or severed, the charger will detect an ‘abnormal ground
state’ and stop the charging process and indicate the condition via the red
‘fault’ LED.
The charger will recover automatically when the ground connection has been
repaired.
