Quality of Service
In the navigation menu, under Configuration, click Quality of Service. This page is used to set up
the QoS function to help ensure a reliable connection and traffic throughput priorities.
By default
the SW24GBP comes preconfigured with QoS so there should be no need to make any changes
here.
Changing QoS ports:
You can change the prioritzation on the SW24GBP. By default the ports are set as follows:
Ports 1 and 2 are trunk ports (no prioritization)
Ports 3-8 are high priority
Ports 9-12 are normal priority
Ports 13-18 are medium priority
Ports 19-24 are low priority
To change the port priorities you will need to telnet into the switch. To do so open a command
prompt on your computer and enter the following command:
telnet
IP address of switch
