Safety Precautions 

This section describes the safety precautions.   

 

2.1.1

 

General Safety Precautions 

The following are the general safety precautions: 

•

 

The equipment should be used in a restricted access location only. 

•

 

No internal settings, adjustments, maintenance, and repairs may be 
performed by the operator or the user; such activities may be performed only 
by skilled service personnel who are aware of the hazards involved. 

•

 

Always observe standard safety precautions during installation, operation, 
and maintenance of this product.

Electrical Safety Precautions

ARNING

:

 Dangerous voltages may be present on the cables connected to 

the PL-1000RO: 

 

Never connect cables to a PL-1000RO unit if it is not properly installed and 

grounded. 

 

Disconnect the power cable before removing a pluggable power supply unit.

ROUNDING

:

 For your protection and to prevent possible damage to 

equipment when a fault condition occurs on the cables connected to the 

equipment (for example, a lightning stroke or contact with high voltage power 

lines), the case of the PL-1000RO unit must be properly grounded at all times. 

Any interruption of the protective (grounding) connection inside or outside the 

equipment, or the disconnection of the protective ground terminal, can make this 

equipment dangerous. Intentional interruption is prohibited. 

Before connecting any cables, the protective ground terminal of the PL-1000RO 
must be connected to a protective ground (see 

Connection Data
