Port Triggering dynamically opens or closes port opened by Port Forwarding. Port
Triggering enhances security as the Forward Ports are only opened when a device
on the LAN makes an outgoing connection to a predetermined Trigger Port.
Click the “Add+” button to create a rule. Set all the fields according to the below
description. Press “Apply” button to save the settings.
Application Name
Assign an application name or identity.
Triggered Range
Range of ports for outgoing data from the modem’s WAN
interface to be the trigger for the port triggering rule.
Forwarded Range
Range of ports for incoming data from the modem’s WAN
interface to be opened for the port forwarding rule.
Enable
Check button to enable the port triggering rule.
Uncheck button to disable the port triggering rule.
Delete
Click to delete the port triggering rule from the list.
