Before use
Start by inspecting the equipment for any damage that has occurred during transport,
and check the information on the rating plate – pay particular attention to the voltage
and frequency. Turn the propeller around by hand and check that it rotates freely.
Check the shutters can open by rotating the centre shutter. Check to ensure that none
of the plastic bearings have fallen out during transport. If any have fallen out, put
them back using a screwdriver. Check again that the shutters can open. Follow the
procedure in the following illustrations:
The fan should not be handled manually, since it does not have a handle or a grip.
Use a trolley, forklift truck or hoisting gear. Always ensure that the shutters face
outwards. Exercise caution to avoid bending the base panel or damaging the shutters.
When using hoisting gear: Insert two bolts in the M8 bushing on the fan sides and
insert lifting wire across the two bolts.
If hoisting gear is to be used, always ensure that the wire used is suitable for
the task.
