After four months or 50 hours of operation

Remove the crank cover and check the level of EP 0 lubricant. The crank area
must be clean and there should be visible lubricant around the crank area and
the top part of the piston. A ring of lubricant should have collected up against
the cramp housing.

Measure this ring. If it is less than 6 mm this indicates that the level of lubricant
is too low. Never add more than a spoonful of EP 0. The ring of lubricant up
against the crank housing’ sides must not exceed 12 mm.
Important! Do not overfill the crank housing with lubricant as this can damage
the driver and the engine.

If the lubricant is very dark or black or full of deposits, this means that the post
driver requires further maintenance. This is described in detail in the section
“Servicing of the driver”.
4.
In cases where the old lubricant is completely removed, the level of fresh
lubricant must be to the bottom of the crank pin (approx. 3–4 spoonfuls).
