Cleaning
1. We recommend that you clean the appliance immediately after
you use it.
2. Keep the safety devices free of dirt and dust as much as
possible. Wipe the equipment with a clean cloth.
3. Clean the appliance regularly with a damp cloth and some soft
soap. Do not use cleaning agents or solvents; these may be
aggressive to the plastic parts in the appliance. Ensure that no
water can get into the interior of the appliance.
Lubrication
1. Regularly remove shavings from the depth setting chains,
reduction drive and lifting screws for the blade holder.
2. Remove chips with a cloth and brush, then lightly grease with a
clean brush dipped in oil.
WARNING!
NEVER POUR OIL DIRECTLY ON THE
COMPONENTS. TOO MUCH OIL WILL CAUSE DUST TO
STICK AND IMPAIR LUBRICATIONS, WHICH IN TURN
REDUCES THE SERVICE LIFE OF THE MACHINE.
WARNING!
THE BLADE HOLDER BEARINGS ARE
SEALED AND MUST NOT BE LUBRICATED.
Carbon Brushes
When the carbon brush wears out, the tool will spark
and/or stop. Discontinue use as soon as this happens. It
should be replaced prior to recommencing use of the tool.
Carbon brushes are a wearing component of the tool, and
are not covered under warranty. Continuing to use the tool when
the carbon brush needs to be replaced may cause permanent
damage to the tool. Carbon brushes will wear out after many uses
but when the carbon brush needs to be replaced, take the tool to
an electrician or a power tool repairer for a quick and low cost
replacement.

by a certified electrician in order to avoid a safety hazard.
