Blade Replacement
1. Loosen the screw and remove the
depth adjustment handle.
2. Undo the 4 hex bolts on the top of
the unit with an M5 hex key and
remove the casing.
3. Undo the 4 hex bolts with an M4 hex
key and remove the dust hood.
4. Use the 10mm spanner to
turn the hex bolts clockwise
and loosen the blade.
5. Remove the knife blade and
the blade locking plate.
6. Replace the worn blade with
a new blade of the same
dimensions. Place the new
knife blade and blade locking place back into the slot.
Note:
Ensure the blade edge is facing the correct direction.
7. Hold the assembly in place
to loosely tighten the blade
by turning the 9 hex bolts
anti-clockwise.
8. Place the blade guide in the
proper orientation on the
blade assembly and use it
to push the blade to the proper position,
then fully tighten the blade.
Note:
Ensure that the 2 support blocks on
the left and right side of the blade guide
are pressed against the knife blade.
9. Repeat steps 4 to 8 for the other blade.
WARNING!
CHECK THAT ALL SCREWS ARE
TIGHTENED. TURN THE BLADE HOLDER BY HAND TO
CHECK THAT IT ROTATES EASILY AND SMOOTHLY.
10. Reassemble the dust hood and casing onto the machine.
Note:
Test the settings on a scrap piece of material to ensure the
blades are properly installed and operating as they should.
Adjusting The Table Extensions
The table extensions have been factory adjusted for use straight
out of the box. However these can become uneven over time, in
which case follow the steps below to readjust them.
1. Raise the blade height so
that it is out of the way.
2. Place a level on the main
worktable and inspect the
extension table for gaps.
3. If the table extensions are
not level, there will be gaps
between the surface and the
level. Loosen the adjustment
nut and use the screw to
adjust the table height.
4. Retighten the nut when the proper height is achieved.
Parallelism
Adjust the machine parallelism if workpieces are no longer coming
out square.
Note:
Poor parallelism is usually caused by misaligned blades.
Always check that the blade holder and work table are parallel
before attempting to adjust the parallelism setting.
1. Place the machine on its side
and loosen the cross rod
bolts.
2. Move the cross rod to
disengage the conical gear
from the blade holder gear.
3. Rotate the blade holder gear to adjust
the height of the blade holder. Each gear
tooth shifting anti-clockwise raises the
blade holder by 0.1mm.
4. Once adjusted, move the cross rod gear
back into place and re-tighten the bolts.
