IMPACT DRIVER OPERATION (cont.)
Installing a socket adaptor and socket (not included)
Pull the driving bit retaining ring (1) forward and insert the
hex shank of the socket adaptor into the retaining ring (1).
(Fig. 8).
Release the driving bit retaining ring (1) and slowly pull the
socket adaptor forward until you feel the ring engage with
the groove in the adaptor indicating that the adaptor is
locked in position. Check if the socket adaptor is correctly
fitted by pulling on the adaptor to see if it can be removed.
If it cannot be extracted, the adaptor has been inserted
correct (Fig. 9).
Select the correct socket for the nut or bolt you which to
tighten or loosen. A socket that is too large will result in
slippage or inaccurate and inconsistent torque, or damage
to the nut or head of the bolt.
Insert the square end of the socket bit into the socket
adaptor (Fig. 10).
Turning the tool on and off
To turn the tool on, slowly depress the variable speed
trigger switch (2). (Fig. 11). Release the variable speed
trigger switch (2) to stop the tool.
Variable speed
You can vary the speed of the impact driver by controlling
the amount of pressure applied to the variable speed
trigger switch (2). The tool reaches its top speed when the
trigger switch (2) is fully depressed. (Fig. 12).
