Subsequent Charges
•
After normal usage, approximately 3-5 hours of charging time is required to
fully recharge the battery (6).
•
If the battery (6) is completely discharged, 5 hours or longer of charging time
will be required to fully recharge it.
Important Charging Notes
•
The charger adaptor (8) and battery (6) may become warm to touch while
charging. This is a normal condition, and does not indicate a problem.
•
Use the charger at normal room temperature whenever possible. To prevent
overheating, do not cover the charger and do not charge the battery (6) in
direct sunlight or near heat sources.
•
If the battery (6) does not charge properly:
- Check current at mains power outlet by plugging in a lamp or other appliance.
- If charging problems persist, have the complete tool checked by an electrician
or a power tool repairer.
•
If the light on the charging cradle (10) fails to come on:
- Check the charging cradle (10) is securely plugged into the mains power outlet
and is switched on.
- Check that the battery (6) is firmly seated onto the charging cradle (10).
- Check that the charger jack (9) is securely connected into the charging
cradle socket.
Thermal Voltage Protection Indication
In the event that the thermal or voltage protection circuit has been activated the
battery (6) will cease to operate. This can happen when the tool has been used for
extended periods or worked hard with large drill bits or accessories.
If you place the battery (6) on the charging cradle (10) the LED Lights will give you
the appearance that the battery is fully charged. Leave the battery (6) in the
charging cradle (10) to charge for 3-5 hours.
The battery (6) may take the full 5 hours to charge, as the battery (6) may need to
cool down or the protection circuits to be reset. This will allow the charger to
begin charging the battery (6) and resume normal operation.
