Insert the hole in the diamond wheel over the angle grinder spindle with the
diamond wheel label facing the angle grinder. The hole in the diamond wheel
should be located over the spindle. Ensure the hole in the diamond wheel
locates and fits firmly into the ring section of the inner flange (11)(Fig.2A).
•
Screw the outer flange (10) onto the spindle with the protruding ring section
facing away from the diamond wheel (Fig.2B).
•
Tighten the outer flange (10) by depressing the spindle lock button (1) and
then tightening the outer flange (10) with the pin spanner (9) provided.
•
Removal of the diamond wheel is conducted in reverse order to the above.
•
Regularly check that the outer flange (10) has not loosened during use.
On/off Switch
The angle grinder is started by pushing the safety lock-off lever at the front of the trigger
switch (4) forward (towards the alloy gear case (2)), then depressing the trigger switch (4).
To turn the angle grinder off, simply let go of the trigger switch (4) (this will cause it
to return to the off position).
Basic Grinding Procedure
First ensure the work piece is securely held down (by both sides of the work piece if
possible). Turn on the angle grinder and proceed to start grinding your work piece gently
- do not “bump” the grinding disc on your work piece as this may damage your grinding
disc. The optimal grinding position is to hold your grinder at approximately 10-15º to
your work piece and grind slowly. This will assist you and prevent deep gouging.
TCT & Multi cutting blades
WARNING!
The use of TCT & multi cutting blades is not recommended
with angle grinders.
Using such blades with angle grinders is very dangerous when used by an
inexperienced operator. TCT and multi cutting blades can catch on the material
being worked and cause the grinder to kick back (be thrown) out of the users
hands. Potentially this could result in serious injury to the operator and/or the
material being worked on. Ozito does not recommend using these types of blades
with the angle grinder.
