→ Perform walking exercises between parallel bars as the connection
between the prosthetic socket and the prosthetic foot is only tem­
porary.
5) Implement any alignment corrections and repeat the previous steps.
6) Fabricate the definitive prosthetic socket and transfer the alignment.
→ Use a prosthetic socket with a continuous distal pad or laminate the
lamination adapter into the prosthetic socket.
→ Take the lamination adapter off the prosthetic foot for socket fabric­
ation.
→ Use sufficient layers of reinforcement for the user’s weight and
activity level.
7) Connect the prosthetic foot to the definitive prosthetic socket.
→ Glue the lamination adapter to the prosthetic foot using epoxy resin
for secure contact.

Secure the screws of the lamination adapter with Loctite, screw in
and tighten them (tightening torque:
35 Nm
).
5.1.1 Applying/removing the footshell
INFORMATION
► Pull the protective sock over the prosthetic foot to prevent noises in the
footshell.
► Always use the prosthetic foot with the footshell.
► Apply or remove the footshell as described in the footshell instructions
for use.
5.1.2 Static Alignment
• Ottobock recommends checking the alignment of the prosthesis using
the L.A.S.A.R. Posture and adapting it as needed.
5.1.3 Dynamic Trial Fitting
• Adapt the alignment of the prosthesis in the frontal plane and the sagittal
plane (e.g. by making angle or slide adjustments) to ensure an optimum
gait pattern.
