2.3.2 Relative Contraindications
The following indications require consultation with a physician: skin diseases/injuries, inflamma­
tion, raised scars with swelling, reddening, and warming in the area where the support is fitted,
tumors, lymphatic congestion – including unclear soft tissue swelling distal to the support, and
dysesthesia in the pelvis.
2.4 Mechanism of Action
The support stabilizes the pelvic girdle by immobilizing the sacroiliac joints and symphysis, and
can alleviate pain.
Pads that can be individually positioned promote blood flow and reduce cramping.
The applied compression can be individually controlled with the Mechanical Advantage Pulley
System.
