5) Shape the plastic bar by hand and let it cool.
6) Then allow the support to dry.
4.3 Application
CAUTION
Incorrect or excessively tight application
Skin irritation due to overheating, local pressure points due to tight appli­
cation to the body
► Ensure that the product is applied properly and fits correctly.
► When in doubt, do not continue to use the product if skin irritation
occurs.
> The hook-and-loop closures on the wrist are open.
> The closure on the thumb is closed up to the loop.
1) Pull the support over the wrist, placing the thumb into the loop (see
fig. 1).
2) Option for 4088: If you are using the support to limit wrist extension,
remove the palmar bar.
3) Fasten the hook-and-loop closures on the wrist. Adjust the fit of the clo­
sure on the thumb (see fig. 2).
5 Cleaning
NOTICE
Use of improper cleaning agents
Damage to the product due to use of improper cleaning agents
► Only clean the product with the approved cleaning agents.
1) Remove all plastic splints.
2) Fasten all hook-and-loop closures.
3) Recommendation: Use a laundry bag or net.
4) Wash the support in warm water at
40 °C with standard mild detergent.
Do not use fabric softener. Rinse thoroughly.
5) Allow to air dry. Do not expose to direct heat sources (e.g. sunlight,
stove or radiator).
6) Reinsert the plastic splints in the support.
6 Disposal
Dispose of the product in accordance with national regulations.
