MAINTENANCE AND STORING YOUR CAMERA
0 · The camera is a precision instrument. Please do not let it drop, do not throw it around
and always protect it from impact or blows.
0 · Do not place the camera where there are high temperatures or moisture, for
example in strong sunlight or in a vehicle that is parked in direct sunlight.
0 · Please do not place the camera close to electrical devices such as televisions,
refrigerators etc.
0 · Do not put the camera into new drawers, which still may be giving off formaldehyde,
and do not let the camera come into contact with insecticides, as both these
sub-stances can cause the film to decompose.
0 · Please protect the camera from fine-grained contaminants such as dust or sand as
these can cause damage to the moving parts of the camera.
The camera can be irreparably damaged through this.
0 · In the event that the camera gets wet with rainwater, dirtied by sand or exposed to
sea air, wipe it with a dry cloth.
0 · If the lens is dusty, carefully remove the dust with a lens brush; if necessary use a little
lens cleaner on lens cleaning paper to carefully wash the lens. Do not touch the lens
with your fingers.
0 · Do not clean the lens with alcohol or solvents. If the camera is dirty, wipe the dirt
away carefully using a soft clean cloth.
0 · If the camera is subject to rapid changes in temperature, then condensation could
form on the lens and affect the performance of the camera. This could occur, for
example, when the camera is brought indoors into a warm room from a cold outside
environment.
0 · If the camera is not to be used for a long period, take out the battery and place it in
a sealed container with a little drying agent.
0 · Old batteries should be handled in accordance with the applicable regulations.
