to +15, –15, and +5 volts. All other supply voltages are derived from these three
voltages via local regulation. The supply accepts inputs from 95 to 264 VAC, 50 – 60
Hz.
The only fuses in your Optimod are 2.5A 20mm Quick Acting HBC fuses mounted on
the power supplies’ circuit boards. Because the supplies’ outputs are automatically
current-limited, the fuse will usually open only if the power supply fails.
Be sure to
disconnect your Optimod from AC power before replacing the fuse!
Because of safety and EMI suppression requirements for the power supplies, there
are no user-serviceable parts in them and we do not provide documentation for
these supplies at the component level. In case of failure, replace the entire bad
supply with an Orban-supplied replacement (Orban part number 29270.000.01.1),
which ensures that your Optimod will continue to meet all regulatory requirements
for safety and emissions.
The power adapter board has test points to allow you to measure the output volt-
age and noise of the various supplies. To find the test points, refer to page 6-85.
Audio-Over-IP Module
The Optimod’s Dante audio-over-IP circuitry is implemented by an Audinate Ultimo
chip, which is installed in the Optimod’s Dante carrier board. (Refer to the parts
locator diagram on page 6-78 and the schematics on pages 6-81 and 6-82.)
If this chip fails, it must be replaced with an exact replacement from Orban.
Streaming Server
The streaming server is built using a Raspberry Pi microcomputer module, which is
mounted on and plugged into the Auxiliary I/O Board. It runs a dedicated operating
system and communicates serially with the Optimod via a PIC. Refer to the schematic
on page 6-83, which shows the connections between the Raspberry Pi and the Auxil-
iary I/O Board, and the schematic on page 6-84, which shows the streaming network
interface.
