Server Components
Oracle Server X8-8 is configured at the factory into either a single 4-socket, a dual 4-socket, or
a single 8-socket system. The dual 4-socket system is divided into System A and System B.
The server includes two system module assemblies (SMODs), accessible from the back panel.
SMOD0 is associated with System A, and SMOD1 is associated with System B.
System B and SMOD1 are only available in dual 4-socket systems. They are inactive in single
4-socket systems and in single 8-socket systems.
