NOTE: Configuration settings must be stored to the modem’s NVRAM so they will be loaded
when the SNAP PAC R-series controller sends a reset command to the modem.
3. If PCs will dial up the controller, set up Windows dial-up networking on the PCs that
will call the controller.
Configuring Microsoft Windows Dial-up Networking on
Windows XP
Use the following settings to configure Windows dial-up networking on any PC that will dial
in to the controller.
1.
Click Start

Control Panel.
2. Double-click Network Connections.
3.
Under Network Tasks, click Create a new connection to display the New Connection
Wizard.
4. Follow the directions in the wizard to create a new dial-up connection.
5.
When the new connection is created, right-click its name in the Network Connections
window and select Properties.
6. In the Properties dialog box, set each tab as shown in the following figures:
