Safety devices
WARNING!
If you bypass, remove or override a safety device in any other way, you are endangering
yourself and other persons working with the disc sander. The possible consequences
are:
injuries due to components or workpieces flying off at high speed,
contact with rotating parts,
fatal electrocution.
The disc sander must only be operated with fully functional safety devices.
Stop the disc sander immediately if there is a failure on the safety device or becomes ineffec-
tive.
It is your responsibility!
If a safety device has been activated or has failed, the disc sander must only be used if
the cause of the fault has been eliminated,
The disc sander features the following safety devices:
A protective hood over the motor.
A support surface for the workpiece.
A partial covering of the working area of the sanding wheel to prevent sanding in the inap-
propriate working area.
A restart protection that prevents the unit from restarting independently by connecting the
power supply.
CAUTION!
Always work carefully and observe the limit values of the process.
