Customizing the Function Settings

DOLBY DIGITAL SETUP

DOLBY SURROUND SETUP

DUAL MONO

Set up the output method of the Dolby Digital
sound recorded in the dual monaural format.

• STEREO

Outputs right-and-left channel in stereo.

• L-MONO

Outputs left channel in monaural.

• R-MONO

Outputs right channel in monaural.

• MIX-MONO

Outputs mixed right-and-left channel in
monoural.

DYNAMIC

Reduce the dynamic range so that even low-level
audio can be identifiable without increasing the
overall listening volume.

• OFF

Full dynamic range is maintained.

• 1/8 - FULL (8 steps)

Dynamic range is reduced.

Notes

• This function works only during playback of

Dolby Digital recorded discs.

• The level of Dynamic Range Reduction may

differ depending on the DVD.

ON/OFF

Set up the output method of the Dolby Surround
sound.

• OFF

Dolby Surround sound is not outputed.

• ON

Dolby Surround sound is outputed.

• AUTO

The signal encoded by the Dolby Surround
system is decoded and outputted by the
Dolby Surround system. (Decodes CD and
