Adjusting the level of each speaker
When you connect the MULTI CHANNEL INPUT jacks
on the Onkyo ED-205 AV Surround Processor to the
ANALOG OUTPUT jacks on the DV-S205TX, adjust
each speaker's relative volume balance. It is not
necessary to set the parameters again once you have
completed the setup unless you change the speaker
configuration or turn the VOLUME dial of the
amplifier.
Speaker Setup
Be sure to set the speaker configuration setting and
adjust the speaker level before speaker setup
instructed on this page. (See page 12 and 13 of the
instruction manual of the ED-205.)
When you use the processor other than ED-205, set
the speaker configuration setting and adjust the
speaker level in the procedure instructied by the
instruction manual of the processor.

Press MULTI CH INPUT on the ED-205.

Press SETUP on the remote controller.
The SETUP MENU appears on the TV screen.

SETUP", then press ENTER.
The SPEAKER SETUP settings appear. Set
"DOWNMIX" to "OFF". (See page 45.)

Each speaker produces the test tone (pink
noise).

Turn the MASTER VOLUME dial on the
ED-205 to adjust the volume.
The volume of all the connected speakers
changes. Turn the VOLUME dial on the amplifier
to your usual volume.
Note
It is necessary to set the level of center speaker
and rear speakers again if you turn the VOLUME
dial of the amplifier.

Press CH SEL on the remote controller
supplied with the ED-205 to select a
speaker.
You can select center speaker, rear right speaker
and rear left speaker.

on the remote controller
supplied with the ED-205 to raise or
lower the level.
Adjust each speaker's relative volume balance so
that the volume of all speaker's test tones sound
equal at the listening position.
You can adjust the level in the range between
–12 dB to +12 dB.

The test tone stops.
