. Measuring and Inspection
The battery can be replaced either while the unit is stopped (power supply output stopped) or while it is in
operation (outputting power supply).
* When replacing the battery, stop the connected devices, turn OFF the power switch of the UPS, and
disconnect the AC input plug from the wall.
* If an input power supply error such as a power failure occurs when replacing the battery while in opera-
tion, backup cannot be performed and output stops.
* Do not replace the battery during backup operation. Output will stop.
Caution
When the unit is used in compliance with UL standards or CE marking, do not replace the battery while in
operation (while power is being output). Replacing the battery while in operation does not comply with UL
standards or CE marking. Make sure to stop the operation of the unit before replacing the battery.
3. Guidelines for how often to check the battery (measure the backup time)
* The battery deteriorates even if it is stored. The higher the temperature is, the shorter the
life becomes.

When 3 or more years have passed since purchase

Caution
(for battery replacement)
Perform replacement on a stable and fl at place.

Handle the battery carefully so that you do not drop it.

Not doing so could cause injury or burns due to liquid (acid) leakage.
Use a specifi ed battery for replacement.

If fl uid (dilute sulfuric acid) leaks from the battery, do not touch the fl uid.
